The origins of “La Pace” pizzeria date back as far as the 9th century, from an ancient inn based in Sant’Agostino and later on in San Carlo. In the 1990s Andrea’s uncle took over the same licence, keeping the name, and opened a typical village trattoria which later became a pizzeria.
1990S
The first pizza
It was during these years that the production of thinned, giant, super giant and extra giant pizzas began. Round pizzas of extraordinary dimensions that attracted customers because of their conviviality.
The earthquake
2012
Unfortunately, the 2012 earthquake made the old picturesque building unfit for use and the business moved to its current location, maintaining the characteristics of the old premises, at least in the pizzeria, and even adding gluten-free pizzas.
2021
B & B
The current location was once a hotel on a busy road (the state road not only connects Bologna, Modena and Ferrara, but also leads to the Lidi of Ferrara). Here the decision to renovate the rooms and open a “La Pace” Room & Breakfast.
